A bit about me
Ever since I was old enought to stand up, I had a camera in my hand. Being the son of a Globe Trotter, each school holiday turned into a Photographic Opportunity. Exotic and diverse countries such as Mexico, Moscow and Sri Lanka became great 'Field Trips' to record each country at Ground Level. The buildings, people markets and countryside became a colourful blur in my minds eye, and where possible I took photographs to fill up my School Boy Album.
My Uncle, introduced me to the wonders and complexities of Black and White Photography, at the time, this was strentghened by Pioneers such as Ansel Adams and Fox Talbot. More recently, books by Jim Brandenburg, Charlie Waite and others showed me a new direction of producing Photographs in natural Colour.
Over the years the technology has changed, both film and cameras have improved and now with the arrival of Digital Equipment, the world of Photography has changed completly.
My Weekly trips to the Countryside produces more pictures than ever before, and with the disposable nature of the digital media, the results are immeadiate, it means we now longer have to wait for the film to return after three weeks through the post.
Now at the age of Forty Somthing, I concentrate on items of interest around me, and with computer and portfolios bulging with what I consider to be my finest work, its time to display my work in a public place.............
